Castle
Hills First Baptist School began in 1981 by a group of interested
members of Castle Hills First Baptist Church and the Church Pastor,
Dr. George H. Harris. The school began with grades 1-6 and an enrollment
of nearly 100 students and has continued to grow. Our current enrollment
is 390students in grades pre-school to 12th grade. Castle Hills
First Baptist School has graduated over 900 graduates who are serving
as pastors, worship leaders, missionaries, business owners, teachers
and in many other professions. The Biblical worldview they were
taught at CHFBS is now influencing their generation.
The
faculty, staff, and leadership of Castle Hills First Baptist School
remain ever steadfast in their dedication to make Christian education
at our school a standard where others can see that our children
develop their abilities to the fullest.

Core
Values of Christian Education
|
- Bible
is the core subject. It is the eternal, infallible, inerrant
Word of God, providing biblical answers that transform lives.
It is the plumb line for everything we say and do. (II Timothy
3:14-17; Hebrews 4:12)
- The
biblical integration of every planned learning experience
is foundational to our educational mission. (Col. 3:16,
17; Romans 11:33-36)
- We
should teach students to develop a personal value system
from the Bible. The biblical basis for developing values
are as follows:
a.
Is it lawful? I Cor. 6:12 a
b. Is it expedient? I Cor. 6:12b
c. Is it going to control me? I Cor. 6:12c
d. Is it going to edify? I Cor. 10:23
e. Is it a stumbling block or a starring block? I
Cor. 8:8-9
f. Does it glorify God? I Cor. 6:19-20 |
- The
development of critical thinking in the context of a biblical
worldview. (I John 4:1-6)
- The
development of Christ-like character in the life of each
student. This means that the board, faculty, staff and administration
shall exhibit Christ-like character qualities. Character
is an expression of the person of Christ in our life. (II
Peter 1:3-10)
- Acommitment
to academic excellence, maximizing each student's potential
for effective ministry. (Col. 1:9; II Tim. 2:15)
- The
development of a servant's heart. Each student must learn
to minister with the attitude of Christ. (Matthew 11:28-30,
20:26-28; Phil. 2:1-8)
